Wow. Awesome work. I like all the variations.
One suggestion I have: in the brown version the note color could be optimized.

It may be a bit random and off topic, but I just want to say that I think it is best to keep away from purple colours. The rest of the stuff are nice Smile

No, it isn't. That's absolutely fine here. Would just be nice if you could give a reason for that. Is it the association with Songbird? Well, exactly that was the idea behind the purple color: maintaining a slight relationship to the origin of this project. However, I also came to reason that we should go with coppery.

You're right. I'll do that soon.

I like the purple colour scheme (it is my favourite colour) but I'm also not totally against the copper colour scheme either. My main hope is for integration into the GNOME/KDE desktops so that it doesn't stick out like Songbird. I think I may have gone a bit off topic, oh well.

I'd also like a bit more integration. Songbird doesn't have to look exactly like a real native application but a bit more than Songbird would be great. Songbird looks completely different and I don't know why. Nightingale should look elegant and not like an ugly alien. Songbird does not even behave like a native application (e.g., the window doesn't maximize when I drag it to the top of the screen).
But that's another topic and should not be discussed in this thread. Smile

I really like the purple one. I'm a person for color, and I think that the brown more or less matches the default Ubuntu themes, or at least up to 10.10. But the purple one... It just stands out, and brings more color to the plate, and I think it catches your eyes a bit more.

Just my own opinions there.

Purple is just a more... appealing color.

This obviously would take a while to make... but... doesn't hurt to put it out there.

What about a couple themes? Say, if you like the copper, theres a copper theme, and if you like the Purple, theres a purple.

Why not doing a poll for the logo ?
Opera is not a place to listen to music but the best Web Browser of the world.

As per the poll in this thread, the logo has already been decided, with the winner being Manko10's logo made from Downward's draft (which, funnily enough, is what this thread is about Tongue )
