We've had the initial Logo thread open for 9 days & now it's time for Round 2. But first, your designs need to be finalized.

So those are the designs that have passed through to Round 2. Now doll them up & make 'em look pretty!

Is anyone allowed to submit designs based on the 1st round winners? I'm not much of an artist, but I can at least use Inkscape to turn them into SVGs (which of course would be the best policy, so we can scale the logo for any application).

Okay, here's a mockup for #8. I tried to keep it as close to the original as I could, but I didn't mess with colors at all because I'm not sure what our final color scheme is going to be. I guess we'll have to decide that in the future as well.

I like it. Could do with some shading & gloss here & there, but otherwise, very good.

Our color scheme will probably be based on the logo that wins, so you could even mess with the colors & make your own color scheme.

In the previous thread, there is something (a mockup I guess) posted by Mozenrath (the post and Mozenrath's logo) which seems to be based on #7. Will it be taken into consideration in the round 2 poll ?

Since it's not a whole new design, yes. If it were an entire new design, no.

After Round 2 there will be NO new submittions.

Here's basically the same one as before, only with color and tweaked as I saw fit.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting highlights and shadows to look good on it, so if someone else would do it, that would be great. If you want the source SVG, tell me and I'll send it to you.

I think, it will look better if you remove the black row around the moon.

I like the black outline to the moon but I would think for an icon or logo the background should be transparent not a night sky. Also the black sky makes part of the notes invisible.
