Yeah, I remember those. I built the Drupal ones (yes, plural) as well. I didn't personally choose to use Drupal (however I didn't oppose it) & I can say that after the experience I've had with this site, I don't fancy Drupal as much anymore.

As for FalconBird, I have no clue why you'd still be seeing Drupal's icon. It's not anywhere on the server (some browsers just auto-load /favicon.ico as the site favicon).

it's the little icon next to your statusbar or the tab. looks nicely and give you a visual feedback were you are. (is this right explained?)

Yep. It's the icon that shows up on tab in your browser, in your bookmark list etc. Most of the time it's an 16x16 ICO file, but many websites are moving to 32x32 PNG.
