I have had a profile in Songbird forever now, and I just attempted to move it over to Nightingale, and it was successful. However in Songbird I suppose I had Last.fm scrobbling uninstalled so now it is gone in NG. Whenever I go to reinstall it, I get this error message "Last.fm Scrobbling Support 1.0.4 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Nightingale 1.12." Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance The problem is that the Last.fm extension is for version of 1.12 of Nightingale and the current version number is 1.12.1, which is why it says there's an incompatibility, it should just be that the maximum version number needs to be adjusted. The preversions are not compatible either. Lastrastuff: Have you tried installing the version of the scrobbler from http://addons.getnightingale.com?

I adjusted the add-on to recognize up to version 1.12.1, but if you open up the .xpi archive and modify the install.rdf file, you could put any version number in there, but that does not mean that it will work.

Oh, sure. The scrobbling add-on for the last.fm software thingie hasn't been updated. You can make it compatible by renaming the .xpi to .zip and editing the value inside <maxVersion></maxVersion> in the install.rdf file to at least 1.12 (or bigger, I personally recomment using 2), then saving it back into the zip and rename it back .xpi

I see two <maxVersion> lines and both seem to be adequately high enough for me to installing. Edit: Well I just realized I forgot to update the archive. For anyone coming across this problem it's the second line that you need to change. As well as here is the addon with the install.rdf that seems to work. I believe anyone can just download and install that add-on and it work. My only problem now is that I don't know where to actually login to my Last.fm profile so I can start scrobbling.

This scrobbler needs you to install the application from last.fm in order to scrobble to last.fm.
The extension alowing you to scrobble directly from Nightingale is http://wiki.getnightingale.com/doku.php?...ons#lastfm . It is possible that it won't scrobble properly tough.
