I am finding that when I login into lastfm nightingale crashes (closes). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

This happens on both Fedora 17 and Mint (lastest version).

Any ideas?

Thanks

So in order to find out where the problem lies, I need further information. Which Nightingale Version are you using exactly (Extras -> About)? Have you installed other add-ons like mashtape?

Sorry, should have said. Its fresh install of nightingale version 1.11
There are no other add-on since the install. Just shoutcast which I installed on the first run after that installing. Lastfm work OK the first time but when after that it goes to the allow app on lastfm and immediately closes.

Sorry to bring this back up but I have just installed the new 1.12 on to my laptop running Mint 14, Mate desktop and I still have this problem. I am running no extras. It is now crashing on the first run when trying to allow nightingale access to Last.fm.

Do me a favor, and remove or temporarily rename the .nightingale directory in your home. From there, run nightingale from a console and pastebin the output, and try to replicate the crash.

You may very well have a weird system library or something, but without the console output (and possibly the error log output, if you can get it) we don't have enough info.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, here is the error log that I found. When I tried recreating the crash the console crashed as well but found this.

I haven't seen that one before...seems something weird is going on with your gstreamer setup. Make sure you have all the gstreamer0.10 packages installed!

Yes, I have of the gstreamer0.10 packages, I just checked and did a reinstall of Nightingale. Still the same result Sad
I install with using the tarbal as I have done before but since 1.11 I have been having this problem. I was not able to use the PPA from the homepage due to an error with firefox.

The error that I get is that there is no assciated file to open the PPA. I don't normally have trouble with these.
