From the latest blog post I understand the next Nightingale release will be 1.12.
I gave it a try and installed the 1.12 nightly, build 2430. OS is OpenSuSE 12.2.
There is a problem with the play count stats. When playing more than one track, the play count isn't increased for every second track played. I've put a screenshot to
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0KQRrO...k9wQ3BCWEU
The 'Recently Played' playlist is affected by the same problem. Only half of the tracks actually played are showing up there.
Not sure if it's related, there was a taglib update recently, it's now taglib-1.8-47.1 from the Packman repository.

Our nightlies are quite outdated currently... you should build from sb-trunk-oldxul at github if you're interested in the latest version. On Linux that is fairly easy, just grab it and run build.sh.

Thanks. I did build version 1.12 myself, but unfortunately the problem persists.

This could either be an SQL or taglib issue?

What's the filetype nightingale fails to update the playcount with? Is there any Error Console output?

File type is mp3. There is nothing in the Error Console.

Not sure if it's related. When starting Nightingale from a shell prompt, I do get a lot of messages like this while it's running and playing songs.

Someone just reported the issue for Songbird, I assume it's a Songbird then :

There were no more updates to this issue. Now since Nightingale 1.12 is out, has this been fixed in 1.12?
There were no updates to the Songbird bug either.
