The port to NG is essentially done, See Github - nightingale-media-player / nightingale-hacking / sb-trunk-oldxul. The only thing I am waiting on is to test it when it actually receives data from the server.

Just in case, it's not a API key issue since we have our own API key for it, see :

I'm glad to see that this thread is still alive. So the only hang up is the API key?

No, actually Songbird was using a specific API which is now dead:

Ah, then is it possible to bypass Songbird entirely and put in a new key ourselves, or does it require more effort to get it working? (I don't quite understand how this works; it sounds like we simply need an .xml file from SongKick to see our concerts again)

An API change means that our fetching code does not produce the correct results as it uses a url no longer valid. I don't know how far they changed their api, though.

So, no it is not possible to just insert another key (or more precisely, it still wouldn't work after that).

I think we should have fallback in add-on when the API can't be reach like if we can't fetch Concerts, redirect the user to songkick website with a message that say the API/add-on is unavailable.

Nice idea Smile We probably should include something like that to all API-based services such as SHOUTcast, last.fm, etc...
Sounds like a good default error handling procedure for me.
