I've been working on some logos since the second logo's thread was open, I wanna share them with you all, I understand they are out of the contest though. (I've already voted also).

I'am just posting this because I'm kind of sad that I lost the chance (my foul  ). Don't get me wrong I think the three logos up there are really great.

Edit: Thanks for including me!

Like those, particularly the second. The only thing I would definitely change are the beveled edges, they look a bit unprofessional (2-click Photoshop layer effects or so).

To logo #3 (Downward): that's the one I made of Downward's original draft (with Downward's changes to the eye).
If that one wins, I will provide the SVG file and create a stroked (minimized) black and white version of it as well.

Busted about the effects lol, I agree about the the beveled, that can be easily fixed (by removing the filter).

I did the mockups using Inkscape (I'm new on it) and I will also provide the svg.

Did pennomi really not vote for his own logo?!?! Of course! Downward's is the best!

(Did pennomi just refer to himself in the third person?!?! Twice?!)

Edit: Oh, and an honorable mention to LedZepp89's submission. That's actually one of the best I've seen.

Would be nice to have some more votes here. I haven't voted myself because as the designer of Downwards' logo I'm biased but perhaps there are some more guys here.

Doesn't matter if you're biased, a vote's a vote.

To my mind, there's only Paradox's logo which will differenciate Nightingale from the other softwares :
  • Pennomi's : too close to Amarok (animal barking at the moon).
  • Downward's : too close to Twitter (same bird).
  • LeddZepp89's : same color scheme as Songbird. And I don't appreciate that rules were stretched for his logo. In this case, why not accepting the logo that Manko10 wanted to propose but he had not propose because he did not have enough time (here is his post) ? The same thing can be said about people who would like to propose logo right now.
  • Paradox's : the only one which deserves to be chosen, since the others cannot be chosen.
