-Pennomi's: not that close to amarok, background could be removed.
-Downward's: Great logo (Manko's mockup), but it looks more like a hawk, I would like it even more if it were a bit more natural.
-LedZepp's: Ugly as hell lol, but I worked hard (my first time using inkscape) since the 2nd logo's thread and I was sad that not any of the logos I've been working on was included (again, my faul), so I begged an administrator to include me and he was ok with that, if that offends you or anybody else in some way, I will ask to remove my logo with the best of intentions. (Note: the colors can be changed easily)
-Paradox's: I really like it, but I don't think (as other member said) that a "draw kind" of logo would be convenient. I like it as a logo, but not as an icon.

Sorry about my english =Z

I think, colors and logos aren't fully worked out at the moment. This should be done, when we decided which logo we will use.

I agree.
As I wrote before: I'll create different versions (colored/not colored) of Downward's logo if it wins. As long as it's definitely the same logo different variations in color are not uncommon.
I also agree that the current draft is very close to Twitter but that is not set in stone. It was the work of a few hours and the colors were chosen intuitively, perhaps unknowingly influenced by Twitter, not good but happens if I don't spend much time on it.
The same applies to the other logos: focus on shape, not on color!

I have read the reasons why you are a "late entry" and I think I was cruel. For me, there is no reason for you to remove your logo.

But I think that administrators have no longer reasons to refuse new logos made by people in the same case as yours.

I note this Wink To my mind, colors of a real nightingale with a clear background (nightingales are diurnal birds, aren't they ?) would rock. Cool
But threads to deal with this are closed.

That's a good thing which ends canceling my stupid remark about LedZepp89's late entry.

And about mine too Wink For each post, Word Reference is my friend.

PS : Firefox 4 rocks with its feature to resize text entries. It is very useful to write replies on this forum where text entries are rather small with no possibilities to resize them.

PS2 : LedZepp89, why do your status is always "currently away" ? That is not the case.

Thank you so much to every one for all your help and work on this, I understand there are some disagreements but I do have to make some decisions so that we can get this going. Okay. Looks as if I have to follow up on my promise. Big Grin
I can't do that directly but I can at least provide the original SVG file to you now, so you can experiment with it.
Due to file type restrictions I can't attach it to this post (@Admins please enable SVG upload!) but I have uploaded it to my server: http://www.refining-linux.org/Nightingale.svg

Downward's is good, but it looks too much like Tango. Respectfully, I hope we don't go with it.

I'm going with Ledzepps.
