That is what I expected. However, as freaktechnik said, we don't seem to understand what you're expecting? Feel free to include an example of some kind (that is, what playlists you have in Nightingale; what songs are within these playlists, what songs should get synced, etc.).

Synchronization has deleted all the files contained in the mp3 player and replacing them with songs now contained in Library->Music. I'd like simply to update the music list. For example, I've deleted two albums in Music screen (Library->Music) I'd like to delete on the player everything that is related to these two albums, albums included, leaving some songs that are not part of the albums and I have not deleted from the list in Library-> Music. About the playlists, I have not understood well. How do I check these things? Smile

I still don't think I understood what you want. However, I have an idea what could be the issue.

Here's what I understood formed as an example:

Your library contains songs A,B,C,D,E. Your player contains songs A,C,D. You delete song C from the library. You now wish your player to contain A and D only (not D or E which both weren't on the device before). Is that correct?

In that case, create a playlist (the "+" button in the playlist section on the left service pane) of what you currently have on your player, for example name it "Player". Then drag all songs you want on your player from your library into that list. In the example, your playlist should contain A,C,D. Now delete songs from your library (in the example C). Now the playlist will contian A and D. All left to do is use the synchronization feature with the playlist "Player", and you should have what you want.

First, I had to reset the player with the backup copy, which took me a bit of time Big Grin

In the meantime I changed my pc and I've installed nightingale. I've created a playlist and I deleted many songs from the Library. Then, I dragged to the playlist those remaining in the library.

Now, I've to sync to the player, but I don't know exactly what to do. Have I to follow the instructions given before, or are there differences, in this case? Smile

If you want your player to contain the same songs as the playlist, that should work. If not, can you explain what you want exactly?

I've synced the created playlist with the mp3 player, but this operation has deleted all the files on the device, replacing them with the songs in the playlist. I should not delete all the files in the device but update the device content after some albums and songs have been removed from the library (or playlist) in Nightingale. Essentially, I want to operate on device files related in some way with songs and albums I'd like to delete from the device, leaving untouched all the others that have nothing to do with these songs/albums Smile

Nightingale does not keep a record of your deletions. So, the synchronization code can only check if songs on the device are in the library or not. It is not possible to check if a song has been deleted in the past. However, you could create a folder on your device which you then sync with Nightingale. Then you can keep additional files on your device (but outside the folder synced with Nightingale).

So, does Nightingale allow you to add songs to the library (playlist), but not to remove them? Smile

You can remove songs from playlists and the library, however Nightingale will not keep a record that the song has been in the playlist/library before. If you remove songs, they're gone and no information is retained about them. Thus, Nightingale cannot determine if a song in your target folder has been synced by Nightingale and was deleted afterwards within Nightingale, or if it has been placed there before.

However, I did not understand what it needs to be done to update the library situation on the device (for example, if I want to delete anything that is related to an album or a song) Smile

P.S. Thank you for your help Wink
