I'm using Nightingale 1.12.1 on Windows 7 (64 bit) and want to export my playlists to Linux based computers. I have already tried the AddOn "Playlist Export" and a modified version I already used in Songbird.
The problem is that the resulting paths in the export files in Nightingale are completely in lower case letters. That is no problem on Windows, because the title m:\musik\abba\angel eyes.mp3 is found in Windows when it is M:\Musik\Abba\Angel eyes.mp3 in reality. But in linux /media/Musik/musik/abba/angel eyes.mp3 can't be found when it is /media/Musik/Musik/Abba/Angel eyes.mp3 in reality.
I have playlists with several hundreds of entries and the folder structure of my music files is the same in Windows and in Linux.
Exporting in Songbird worked with capital letters but in Nightingale it doesn't. So I compared the modified versions of the playlist export addon, that I'm using in Songbird and Nightingale with Winmerge. But there wasn't any. So there might be a difference in the databases where the results are fetched?

Has anybody a way to get playlists with capital letters? I already tried to import the playlist in VLC (Windows) and export it again. But you only get capital letters if you play every song of the list first...

Best regards,

Stefan]]>

I have tried Nightingale and have downloaded some add-ons, including grid view and Media flow.  In concept these seem great and intuitive, however when you click on an album cover image, it only plays the first track.  For that matter, when I am in the regular list view, it only plays the first track when I click on it.  I have used many other media players on Mac and Windows and when you play the first track, it just keeps going with the next tracks.  What do I need to do to enable this?

Thank you!]]>

I have downloaded Nightingale after reading somewhere it's the must have download for audiobooks if used in conjunction with the audio bookmarks add on.

I have downloaded the add on but have no idea how to actually install it. I have looked around this site for some kind of fools guide but could not find anything.

Would any of you be kind enough to explain in easy terms how to install said add on. You would make a very old man very happy.

Kindest regards

SoundCloud 1.0.3+dev-201303280131

On:

There are really annoying last.fm addon error - most of the time it looks like this:

In that state scrobbling sometimes works, but "scrobble my tracks" option can may turn off spontaneously.

Sometimes plugin are trying to connect properly and at this time Nightingale freezes.

I made clean install - no effect.

It started after last.fm problems about 1,5 month ago (history: http://status.last.fm/)

It looks like last.fm addon requires some update, but perhaps someone have resolve?]]>

I was trying to figure out how to add the source to Nightingale's extensions source folder in such a way that it will be compiled with the other extensions. It creates an XPI file but that doesn't contain the actual plugin file which should be compiled from the provided c++ code.

The DirectTune add-on is a big part of that. It lets me connect easily to any of my favorite audiophile-quality internet radio streams. Although it doesn't (yet) bring up album art and artist info, it nevertheless makes it easy to connect.

Has anyone learned a way to organize the radio stations in the DirectTunes list? My stations all display in the order I created them. I can't find any way to alphabetize them, or drag-and-drop them into some other logical groupings.]]>

(otherwise, please move this thread and/or let me know). I recently installed and used the mentioned app with nightingale 1.12, Build 2432 installed in a win 8.1 enviroment. After short usage of the app (which worked fine for itself) I was not able anymore to move any songs to any self created playlist. this problem was reproducable in the way, that the problem was gone as soon as I deinstalled the app and returned if I did the sam vice versa.

I've got a little but critical problem to shift from Songbird to Nightingale. This problem is Spotbird Artist Browser.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFWu7el8LjY

An epic visual artist browser plugin, simply but powerful. I've always used it and I've tried by myself to install it in Nightingale, but without success.

Can you please port it to Nightingale?

P.s. I've attached it to this message because I can't find it anymore on the internet.

P.p.s. I've also noticed that I posted this thread is in the wrong section, sorry!
