I needed to get my playlists out.
I had to modify some files, but I managed to get Playlist Export Tool v2 0.9.5 to work. You can see the instructions here. I've attached it below in the unlikely event someone else needs it. Extract the directory into extensions.
I also tried using songbirdDbTools v0.2, but it doesn't like the latest version of my db. It likes the previous dbs left behind from updates.

At some point I might try to do that myself, but with no real experience in doing so it may be something too much for myself. I'm just wondering if someone may have the relevant tooling in place on their machine and could do it in few hours instead of the few weeks it may take me to figure everything.

I'm a very new user and have unfortunalty a very basic issue (I probably miss something obvious).

In fact, each time I try to move a song in the playlist window on the right (with drag and drop), a new entry is well created for the song at the target position but the selected song al0os keeps its initial position (=> song duplicated at 2 different positions)
This behaviour makes me crasy and I can not take time to delete the initial entry each time I want to move a song in the play list ...
Sorry again for this dummy question but your help will be REALLY great (birthday of the brother this evening)

I'm using Nightingale 1.12.1 on Windows 7 (64 bit) and want to export my playlists to Linux based computers. I have already tried the AddOn "Playlist Export" and a modified version I already used in Songbird.
The problem is that the resulting paths in the export files in Nightingale are completely in lower case letters. That is no problem on Windows, because the title m:\musik\abba\angel eyes.mp3 is found in Windows when it is M:\Musik\Abba\Angel eyes.mp3 in reality. But in linux /media/Musik/musik/abba/angel eyes.mp3 can't be found when it is /media/Musik/Musik/Abba/Angel eyes.mp3 in reality.
I have playlists with several hundreds of entries and the folder structure of my music files is the same in Windows and in Linux.

So I compared the modified versions of the playlist export addon, that I'm using in Songbird and Nightingale with Winmerge. But there wasn't any. So there might be a difference in the databases where the results are fetched?

I also removed spam-looking homepages from some users without any posts, which did not have any obvious spam content in their profile besides the homepage link; I did not yet purge them (but recorded my action in the mod comment field).
Bottom line: we should review newly added users periodically. Or are there better options to prevent the spam in the first place?]]>
