Hey all,
I'm not sure if I'm the only the who's had this problem, but I just noticed when I click the "Love this track on last.fm" heart button the song does not show up as a loved track in my last.fm profile. I waited for the entire song to play through, as I believe on Songbird you have to wait for the track to finish playing for it to show up on your profile.
The heart icon does stay lit up when playing the song again later. It also still lights up for any song that I've previously loved on last.fm, so it's almost working correctly
I tried starting with a fresh profile and it still wouldn't work. Just for the heck of it I tried using the Windows 2.2.0a testing build and it did not work there either.
Thanks,
zjays
I think the Last.FM api has changed or one of our dependencies recently broke when I recompiled...
In the console I can see the addon trying to handshake with last.FM, but it always fails and I have to authorize the application...however, that doesn't work and so the plugin just keeps popping up the auth tab.
GeekShadow or one of the other guys who actually knows what they're doing with these addons ought to be able to take a look.
Hey all,
I'm still having this problem in Nightingale, while I've confirmed the function still works properly using Songbird.
Here's the error console messages I get, after the completion of the song I clicked the loved button for (note some messages may be from the start of the next song in the playlist):
http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2223732 (Case 1)
I still get some of the above messages at the completion of a song that I do NOT click the love button for, here are the error console message for this case:
http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2223805 (Case 2)
So here are the error console messages left over from Case 1 after I remove the ones that appear in Case 2:
http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2223791
Note that these tests were done with all other add-ons removed.
I also tried running Case 1 with a ported version of Songbird's most recent version of the add-on (Version: 1.0.10pre.2449), and got pretty similar error console messages:
http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2223884
Hope this helps,
zjays
Sure, I'm running on Mac and Windows so I can try both when I get a moment. However I notice the latest Windows Nightly build (.exe file) is ~1.5 months old (2013-01-27), can I use that one or do I need to build a new one?
That one...yeah, it's in progress...rsjtdrjgfuzkfg is out of town...I think GeekShadow may be making a new windows build in a day or so.
If you can't wait, build yourself, if you dare.
Alright, I just tried on my Mac with the latest nightly Mac build and the latest nightly version of audioscrobbler add-on. I got the exact same error console as my first paste-bin link above
(
http://pastebin.mozilla.org/2223732 )
Thanks, still got the same errors on the Windows build.
On an unrelated note, I noticed the New Tab addon isn't working in the nightly builds (reported it on GitHub).

Windows nightlies are back:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ngale/f...013-03-21/
You can either grab .exe (installer) or .zip (just binaries)
For last.fm error I have to check.
Well, this is another problem i came along in Windows... When I use the Love button in the player, it doesn't get registered... so I actually have to go to Last.fm site and manually "love" it.... I;m getting frustrated, half of the songs dont get scrobbled and i cant love any tracks! Argh...:S
