Some news:
In November 2012, Babelzilla installed a Transifex instance on their server, it's more nice looking, smooth and easier to use :

Now langpacks are live for upcoming 1.12.1

All these langpacks were built from the new translation system and include fixes I have mentioned in first post.

The official project page for translation is here:
http://beta.babelzilla.org/projects/p/Nightingale/

You can request to be in team for your locale already, and I think you will be ready to translate this weekend.
(If you already have an account on Babelzilla you can do a Password reset on Beta.Babelzilla instead of registering)

The rule for Songbird langpack distribution was:
When at least 20% of the strings for a language are translated, the translation is available from within Songbird.

Do you think 20% is enough ?

I think we should let the translation team decide and not release without them "releasing" the translation to us.

Is there no more status of the translation, so the team can set the translations status to ready for release?
Because I think we should release every translation people consider ok for release...

I have renamed the topic into "News", it should be more consistent.

SO, if anyone is reading here, the localization system is up! \o/
I'm still in the process of writing the blog post but you can do the following stuff already:

If you want to translate/review Nightingale localization you will have:
- To register on http://beta.babelzilla.org (use Password Reset if you had already a classic Babelzilla account)
- Request to be on the team for the desired locale here: http://beta.babelzilla.org/projects/p/Nightingale/
- Optional: If you have a GitHub account, give me your GitHub mail (DM) so that your work will be commited with your name/mail

Additionally, I have made a Sandbox project on Babelzilla if you want to try out the system without breaking anything:
http://beta.babelzilla.org/projects/p/ngaletest/
(You can also request here and do what you want, as nothing here will be released).

08-28-2013, 12:17 AM (This post was last modified: 08-28-2013, 07:25 AM by GeekShadow.)
As we have the first team creation request from a user without a forum account (thus not reachable for me @GeekShadow has this transifex some PM system?), I updated the initial Localization post.

I also added a description to Babelzilla, linking to our localization forums and this initial post.

For now, I will not accept team creations from non-forum-members (as I'd like to have at least the coordinators reachable from our forum infrastructure); but I'm open to suggestions how to deal with non-forum-members requesting a team.
