Greetings,

My name is Ernesto, I'm 34 y.o. and I'm CostaRican.

I became a heavy user of Songbird back in the days of version 0.5. The news about Songbird leaving Linux were treacherous and painful like a kick in the nuts for me, but I knew in my soul a project like Nightingale was inminent and inevitable. Sleepy

I've been following the forum and the site since Nightingale's inception. So, here I am, to help in what my knowledge, experience and undamaged brain cells allow me. I work as an systems analyst, mostly designing layered component-based architectures. I have experience in programming languages such as C++, Java and C#. I have experience with HTML, CSS, XML, XSD, JSON and digital signature although I've never worked with streaming or mp3 decoding (but I'm a quick learner). Also I could help out with testing or translations.

I'm a Linux enthusiast and I hope I can be useful for this project. Feel free to roam through my humble blog on Free Software and Open Source (only on spanish though) and tweets.

Let the Nightingale fly over the world!

Welcome!

I'd love it if you'd clone our git repo and mess around with the code, and get familiar...and if you do anything good, make sure to put in a pull request Smile

Glad to have you!
