I will now use tags on add-ons page on addons.songbirdnest.com to track different things :

* nmu : Old add-ons that are no more updated by developers, some still works with current versions of Songbird
* nepo : add-ons that need to be polish (eg : to be well integrated on Songbird)
* nl10n : add-ons that need to be L10n (developers can post on babelzilla to get localized)
* ngale : add-ons that would cool for Nightingale

The add-ons I use:

7digital Music Store
Album List
Equalizer Presets
EqualizerPane*
GridView
MediaFlow*
Now Playing List*
NowPlayingArt*
SHOUTcast Radio*

(and a few more, but I hardly ever use them)

The ones marked with an asterisk are the most important.
Concerning the MediaFlow add-on: I've listed that as an add-on, but I think we should integrate that into the Nightingale core (in my feather draft I've also modified its appearance a bit, so it doesn't look exactly like in Songbird). We might also consider adding some other basic views to the core (those most users would probably install).

Guys, porting the extensions probably won't be necessary as much as just using nightly tester tools, or do something similar and rewrite the install.rdf file from the songbird addons site ...

Unless the plugins are exclusive to gecko/xul 1.9, and aren't compatible with 2.0+, we don't need to port them, otherwise we will. Those which come built into songbird will be included in the nightingale builds, or at least as a separate package or something.

I managed to get mashtape and mediaflow to work in Nightingale. Is there a specific place that I should post these add ons?

Good question...

I'd just like to get last.fm not to crash ngale whenever I try to authorize it.

I most likely to put mashtape into Songbird 1.8.1 GitHub. For MediaFlow you can post it here Smile

You guys can't understand how happy I am you're using github!

Timmy, have you done a git pull lately on your source so it's up to date? It makes it easier to merge new code and changes into the main tree if you setup this once:

git remote add upstream git://github.com/ilikenwf/nightingale-hacking.git

But then any time you plan on making code changes to your own tree, do this:

git fetch upstream
git checkout nightingale-1.8
git merge upstream/nightingale-1.8

and then make your changes and push. This will ensure your changes will cleanly merge with my git tree.
