Not really. It's based on the "original" nightingale development tree.

Provided you have the git tree checked out, go to that directory and do
git checkout nightingale-1.8

and then run build.sh...you may get success in that case.

I don't use debian for general use machines, only servers, and I'm busy developing nightingale right now in terms of fixing this - if someone else could jump in and save the day it'd be appreciated.

Hi Guys

It seems to be a while since 1.11.0 was released. Any progress to report on the next version? Planned release date, new functionality, bug fixes etc.

The blocking thing is merging taglib changes in 1.11 branch

It works on oldxul just fine...

The only other issue I know of is that my albumart for FLAC support isn't compiling on taglib-testing and I'd like to get it in there too.

Major things missing for a release imho:
  • better locales without Songbird anywhere in it (@GeekShadow how's the progress there?)
  • a better installer on windows (@GeekShadow if you don't wish to do the integration, upload your drafts somewhere and I'll try to merge it in when looking at ilikenwf's taglib changes)
  • the second part of the taglib changes by ilikenwf (hope to find some time for that)
  • after all the above, we still to prepare the release itself, e.g. collecting release builds, preparing a blog post, and that probably also takes a bit of time

I think we should shoot for the first week of January if you guys think we can make it.

The only blocker for me aside from the above is that I need to get the Mac deps to build fresh, and make sure the client will then build well.

Not much progress, I still have to fix my server and work again on scripts to get the L10n hosted. (working on a script to reorder strings based on the en-US file)

I have to look if I can integrate *temporary* the Windows installer part in make.sh and if it works good move in in deps.

What's the status of merging taglib changes from sb-trunk-oldxul to nightingale-1.11 ?

I haven't merged those, I'd expect rsjt to do that...I thought we'd base the release on sb-trunk-oldxul?

I'm ok releasing and working with this branch. Maybe we can always work and release from trunk in the future... since Songbird mostly work on trunk then merge changes in branches.
