Hi all,

I love nightingale. Just upgraded yesterday to 14.04 and now Nightingale Crashs.

In the PPA
ppa:nightingaleteam/nightingale-nightly
is no Trusty build yet.

https://launchpad.net/~nightingaleteam/+...ter=trusty

Could someone pls have a look into it?

Code:
➜  ~  nightingale

(process:16919): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed

(nightingale-bin:16919): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::sm-connect after class was initialised

(nightingale-bin:16919): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::show-crash-dialog after class was initialised

(nightingale-bin:16919): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::display after class was initialised

(nightingale-bin:16919): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::default-icon after class was initialised

(nightingale-bin:16919): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_window_set_icon_list: icons too large

(nightingale-bin:16919): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_window_set_icon_list: icons too large

(nightingale-bin:16919): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_window_set_icon_list: icons too large
ERROR! Could not call boundObserver.observe(). Key = metadata.title
[Exception... "'[JavaScript Error: "mlyrics.pane.gMM.playbackControl is null" {file: "chrome://mlyrics/content/jscripts/paneWindow.js" line: 673}]' when calling method: [sbIRemoteObserver::observe]"  nsresult: "0x80570021 (NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)"  location: "JS frame :: file:///usr/lib/nightingale/components/sbDataRemote.js :: anonymous :: line 369"  data: yes]
MPRIS: DEBUG MODE Unset

** Message: lnNotifs: constructor
** Message: lnNotifs: Initializing

(nightingale-bin:16919): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_window_set_icon_list: icons too large
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Sorry. I added the ppa and apt told me there is no update available. But I was able to download the last successful build from launchpad manually.
https://launchpad.net/~nightingaleteam/+..._amd64.deb

But this build crash also with my old plugins.
Code:
ERROR! Could not call boundObserver.observe(). Key = metadata.title
[Exception... "'[JavaScript Error: "mlyrics.pane.gMM.playbackControl is null" {file: "chrome://mlyrics/content/jscripts/paneWindow.js" line: 673}]' when calling method: [sbIRemoteObserver::observe]"  nsresult: "0x80570021 (NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)"  location: "JS frame :: file:///usr/lib/nightingale/components/sbDataRemote.js :: anonymous :: line 369"  data: yes]
MPRIS: DEBUG MODE Unset
** Message: Unity Integration: loading
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

After deleting the "Unity Integration" (it was the 64Bit Dev Build) Nightingale works fine again.

I assume there is no development yet on the Unity Integration?

kind regards
Marc

Well, in theory you do not need the unity integration for anything other than playing with the Nightingale window hidden (by clicking close) anymore. Current nightly builds thus don't include the extension anymore.

I'll be upgrading to 14.04 very soon, once this week of ridiculous assignments is over haha. So I'll try to take a look at this when I do!
