I just found out about this project and i want to say that i couldnt be happier.
i am a linux user without any programing skills but i will try to help as much as i can.
songbird is a great application that i cant go without.

Will Nightingale be able to recognize many different video formats? Songbird refuses to recognize most of my video files and I have no idea how to add support for the needed codecs.

I'm looking for some hints what's wrong with my attempts to get nightingale build. I haven't found any location where to leave my request (no development specific sub-forum yet ... ).

I tried to build ngale on my Ubuntu 10.01 machine but failed using two approaches. All prerequisites like program versions should be fulfilled so far.

In the 1st approach I was following the steps listed in Ngale forum @ sourceforge #1.

In the second approach I where following Ngale forum @ sourceforge #2.

Both attempts led into the same behavoiur when trying to finally start the app:

Nightingale: Can't execute .
</quote>

I found some inconsistencies in the build log

zip error: Nothing to do! (../../songbird.jar)
</quote>

Any suggestion/hint/advice ?

...and then install Nightingale? Will they be completely separate applications or will you be able to migrate your Songbird settings (e.g. play history) to Nightingale?

Welcome to yet another set of forums. This is our 5th forum... You know what they say! 5th time's a charm!

These new forums are being run by MyBB using a theme originally created by Justin S (http://mods.mybb.com/view/apart-1) which has been modified hugely by myself. For a comparison, just look at the screenshot in the theme's link.
