So, our translation system will be soon up on Babelzilla.
I succeed on importing langpacks with strings left to translate in forgein locales.
Currently Babelzilla have the WTS system and the new Transifex system.
I still have some tests to do to determine which one is the best/reliable however every strings changes will be tracked in our GitHub repo too.

I made a few changes globally in strings:
- I have replaced "Songbird" by &brandShortName; everywhere (Except when it's proper Songbird credit)
- I have fixed ellipsis usage everywhere base on Lukas changes
- I have replaced URLs of Songbird Bugzilla by the GitHub Issues link
- I have replaced URLs of Songbird Add-ons by our Wiki page

Some things are still to be discussed :
- Translation guidelines for each locale
- How do we form L10n team (based on new contributor and old ones if they still want to contribute)
- What strings should be removed (based on closed source stuff, unused features)
- What string should be added (to avoid add-ons developer to add common strings)
- Should we divide translation in more files, just like Mozilla does ?

Most of those topics are opened in GitHub issues here: https://github.com/nightingale-media-pla...10n/issues but feel free to open a topic here.

I'd prefer we only have locale forums within the Localization forum, as well as one or two global threads, and handle coordination elsewhere (-> issues, irc, maybe a subforum if we really need that). Note that this subforum does NOT allow regular users to create threads.

Also [sticky], as it is not locale-specific.
So how should people express their interest into translating and helping ?
Sometimes lazyness is bad, GeekShadow. There is some text somewhere here (I'm too lazy to search it) whicj says they should write us to get into the translator group.
Register me for Ukrainian locale.

As freaktechnik mentioned, the translator group management is done by PMs to admins or mods, explicitly listed are you and me. If freaktechnik or some other admin/global mod wants to join, I'm fine with that; the post is here, and also in my de-Team proposal.

I'll try to remember that, however I think we should start creating threads after the Babelzilla is set up, so we don't have to change all subtopics adding the Bugzilla links.
Also: which language code is Ukrainian (like "en-US" or "de")? If there are multiple Ukrainian languages (as with English: "en-US" and "en-GB"), which one do you wish to register for?

"uk-UA" is used in most of cases (and this is not right because there are no multiple Ukrainian languages). But in case of Songbird we used only "uk". So I think the right way is to register me for uk locale. Thanks in advance.
And It would be nice to transfer existing translations from http://translate.songbirdnest.com/ to Babelzilla. So we will have to change only new strings and strings that contain "Songbird".

GeekShadow worked on that, thus the old Songbird locales are already in place Smile
Great. But here http://www.babelzilla.org/index.php?opti...&type=show and here http://www.babelzilla.org/index.php?opti...anguage=43 I don't see Ukrainian locale (uk), though the other ones are available.

P.S. I know that this page is not for translating.
